The past couple of weeks we have been working at the school and hanging out with the students. The students are about to be on break for a month. Next week is their week of finals. They have been studying, studying, studying! We have had many great stories happen in the past two or three weeks. Bowling with the teachers was a blast and it really opened doors to build better relationships with them. I understand them better and I am able to talk to them with ease.

We have been preparing for a camp called English Revival Camp (ERC). It will have 300 to 400 students. It is a huge event and already God is starting to move. I’m really excited about this week but I know it is going to be physically draining. After that week we are working at a church doing a VBS for younger kids. This VBS is a little different as it involves teaching English.

The students have been opening up even more. This past Monday at chapel, my teammate was able to speak to the students about why we are here. We had a translator so the students were able to understand every word. It was really good. They explained about how we have a relationship with Christ and that our deepest desire is for them to have one too. The students response was amazing. Two of the girls that I live with got up to speak. They said they were thankful for us coming here and all the work we are doing. One girl said that even though we do not speak the same language she can see our love. It was awesome to see how God is breaking the language barrier! It was awesome to see a tiny bit of fruit from the labor we are doing for Christ!

Last night we started a Bible study at the apartment I live with. It was so good. Please pray for these students and that they will find freedom in Christ. Pray for ERC camp and that these students will see Christ through all the activities. Pray that our team will have energy to finish strong. Pray that the students will see Christ’s face and not ours when we are working with them. That His light will shine through us even on the tough days.
